RIVERSIDE NURSERY & BEGA VALLEY WORK CREW CELEBRATE THE FESTIVE SEASON

Supported Employees, staff and volunteers  of the Bega Valley Work Crew and Riverside Nursery were the first at Tulgeen to kick off the festive season with their Christmas party today.

Supported Employees and volunteers were presented with Certificates of Achievement and presents to acknowledge their contributions throughout the year to both businesses.  Paul Spiteri, Operations Manager of Tulgeen’s Australian Disability Enterprises of which BVWC and Riverside Nursery are a part was Master of Ceremonies as well as sous chef.  Clearly, a man of diverse talents!!  Matthew Adamson was in charge of the hotplate and judging from the empty plates and returns for seconds, Matt is  master BBQ’er.

Jen Russell thanked the entire team for their efforts throughout the year.  Special mention to Heidi Ashburner, Riverside Nursery Coordinator who organised staff and client awards to be presented at the gathering.

TULGEEN ‘CAN DO’ PRIDE ON DISPLAY AT LITTLETON GARDENS

3

It was a day of fun, music, celebration and laughter as the Tulgeen community gathered at Littleton Gardens in Bega to celebrate International Day of People with Disability on 3rd December.

Speaking from overseas Chair of Tulgeen Group Gae Rheinberger  said “…far from being about disability, this day showcases a diversity of ABILITY and how everyone can achieve a good and full life.  Tulgeen is here to assist life aspirations.”

And, special thanks to the Jellat Rural Fire Brigade who have unfailingly supported Tulgeen’s events over the years through their own spirit of volunteerism.
