Respite rooms at our Centre in Bega – almost like home
Tulgeen offers 24/7 respite support to families, advocates and carers in YOUR home or at our centre-based respite rooms at Spindler Street in suburban Bega. Facilities include electric beds, a full hoist and accessible bathroom, televisions, climate control, full kitchen, lounge room and storage space for personal belongings all underpinned with individualised care. The service is open to the whole community which means you do not have to have a disability to use it. We are able to provide respite services for individuals aged 16 years upwards. You DO NOT have to be an existing Tulgeen client to access this service NOR do you have to have a disability.
All new clients will have to undertake an intake assessment to determine suitability.
Barry Irvin AM, Chair of Bega Cheese officially opened the Respite Rooms.
The service has been operating since its soft launch in October 2015 and was officially launched on 15 February 2016 by Bega Cheese Chairman, Barry Irvin AM.
