Tulgeen Annual General Meeting

Tulgeen’s recent Annual General Meeting was well attended by Tulgeen members, parents, advocates and staff. In his presentation to the meeting, re-elected Chair Grattan Smith said he was looking forward to the following year with excitement and optimism.

“This past 12-months has again been one of many achievements at Tulgeen, underpinned by the transition into the NDIS. Tulgeen was well prepared as we moved into this era of individualised funding, flexible service delivery and greater transparency, within a more competitive environment.” Grattan said.

Grattan paid tribute to retiring Director Gae Rheinberger who he said had been instrumental to Tulgeen’s success since her involvement began in 2000.

Tulgeen Client and Artist, Miriam Kydd presented Gae with a painting on behalf of the organisation as a form of appreciation.

Grattan also acknowledged Bob Westmacott’s role and contribution to Tulgeen. Due to a prior commitment, Bob was unable to attend the meeting.

Chair Grattan Smith described Tulgeen’s volunteers and dedicated staff as the ‘lifeblood’ of the organisation and said it was a privilege to lead a forward thinking, passionate and innovative Board.
